The cheapest air-conditioning is the heat you never let in. High-reflectance cool-roof coatings and green (planted) roofs drop indoor temperatures noticeably in NCR summers.
What to know
A white high-SRI coating on the terrace can lower the slab temperature by several degrees, easing AC load on the top floor. Green roofs go further - insulation, biodiversity, and stormwater absorption - at higher cost and structural checks. Cool coats are the easy first step for any flat roof.
