Small wind turbines can complement solar - but honesty first: they only make sense on genuinely windy, open sites. Urban rooftops are usually too turbulent.
What to know
A turbine needs steady average wind speeds above roughly 4-5 m/s to be worthwhile. Tall unobstructed terraces near open fields or along ridge lines can qualify; a typical enclosed colony rooftop rarely does. Use our feasibility check before speaking to any dealer. Solar-wind hybrids are the usual compromise where wind is marginal.
