How to read a solar quotation line by line

DRAFT — outline only. Do not publish until the figures below are verified. Keep this guide inactive until it is written.

Angle: Decode a quote so two proposals can be compared fairly.

This guide must answer: - What line items should every quote contain? - Which items get quietly excluded (net metering, feasibility)? - How to compare two quotes that differ by tens of thousands? - What must be in writing (panel model, DCR, inverter, warranty)?

Writing rules: answer the question in the first two sentences, put a real number in the opening paragraph, name the specific city or DISCOM where the answer varies, and link to two related guides and the relevant category page.

Verify before publishing: Process knowledge; keep figures ranged and consistent with the cost guides.
